  Inaccurate Reporting

Your credit report should contain accurate information.  Inaccurate information can lower your credit score that is used by almost all national lenders to determine the interest rates and financing terms that you pay for everything from automobile loans to home mortgages to credit card debt.  Thus, it is extremely important that all entries on your credit report are accurate.  Challenges to inaccurate credit entries on your credit report should be made in writing to the credit reporting agency and the creditor.  If an inaccurate credit report is not corrected through your first letter you should contact an attorney.
